And A Child Shall Lead was a tricky show for us. It was staged in a recital hall instead of our theater. This presented a few roadblocks. The first was that we could do nothing to the floor or walls of the space. We also had to store all of our props back at the theater during the day, so they had to be highly portable. We also could not mic the actors. Finally, we had a highly limited selection of lights, and I couldn't change half of the gels.
As the scenic/props, lighting, and sound designer, these roadblocks were particularly impactful on my designs.
