Brigadoon

Fall 2011
For our production of Brigadoon, I was the assistant lighting designer. One of the fun challenges with this show was that our two spotlights had different lamps, so in scenes where both were used we had to figure out how to make them more even tonally. There were also parts of the set highlighted with paint that glowed under black light, which we used to add to the mystical nature of Brigadoon. Additionally, for the final scene, we had the look of a modern bar downstage, while illuminating folk from Brigadoon behind a white scrim and a scrim made of dyed cheesecloth strips. In the end, it looked fantastic!
