Grease

Summer 2017
Grease was another summer show for us. However, unlike with Urinetown, we had a week on the stage without actors before rehearsals began. Between that and the remains of the Little Mermaid set, I was able to be much more ambitious with my scenic design.
Luckily, I have some students who are very talented artists, so we were able to paint the different cars that we needed, and the many signs we used.
We also tried something very unusual and fun for the lights on this show. We got strip lights, which I wrapped around the edges of all of the platforms. These looked amazing when turned on in the different scenes.
